Using the Budget Days feature
Tip
The Budget Days feature allows you to estimate the production of your business from an envelope of days and not from the schedule. You can thus sell an estimated benefit to X days of production, regardless of the distribution of these days over time.
How to use the Budget Days feature
HOW TO ACTIVATE BUDGET DAYS
Settings > Contracts > Management Policies section > “Enable planning employees by budgets days”
The budget days are available at all schedules:
- Contracts: Assignements tab
- Timesheets
- Capacity Planning
HOW TO CONFIGURE BUDGET DAYS
The budget days is filled in when an employee is assigned to the contract. To help you estimate the budget days, you can use the total planned time based on the cadency you specify.
If the number of days entered in the schedule exceeds the budget days, a red indicator will alert you!

TAKING ACCOUNT OF BUDGETS DAYS IN THE CALCULATION OF PRODUCTION AND COSTS
The role of budget days in calculating your production depends on the selected billing mode:
- FLAT-RATE PRICE CONTRACT
Amount of the contract = initial amount
The Budget Days feature allows you to calculate the amount of the contract based on a number of days x average daily rate per employee.
If the budget days feature is active, the initial schedule is ignored in the calculation of the contract amount.
The turnover is calculated on the basis of the budget days and not the schedule.
Costs calculation : When you use the budget days on a flat-rate price contract, you can choose how to value the employee charges: according to the Planning or Budget Days.
-
DAILY PRICE CONTRACT
Amount of the contract = past time
The budget days are taken into account for the valuation of the production: except from the moment when the planning exceeds the budget days. The schedule then outweighs the budget days.
The budget days allows you to measure your progress:
- If the schedule exceeds the budget days, your production remainder will be zero;
- If the schedule respects the budget days, your production remainder will be positive.
The days budget is not taken into account in the billing calculation, which is based only on the days entered in the schedule.
